The Richmond, at 313 and 323 Richmond Street East, is another one of Tridel’s impressive condominium buildings. Tridel, a Toronto-based development company, has been the recipient of multiple awards including 3 consecutive Builder of the Year awards. It was an easy decision to add The Richmond to my list of SelectCondos because of Tridel’s reputation and the reputation of its other projects such as 300 Front Street West, Blythwood at Huntington and Reve on King West.
You will instantly be impressed by the 2-storey lobby that welcomes you into The Richmond. There’s a waterfall feature, a regal circular staircase and a landscaped courtyard elegantly displayed at the entrance. A concierge is available at the front desk 24 hours a day for your safety and convenience.
From the lobby, residents and their visitors can take a private shuttle elevator right to the rooftop terrace. On the 2nd floor of the 15-storey building, there’s a multi-level gym with a Jacuzzi, saunas, change rooms and a basketball court. Other amenities in the building include a billiards room, a bike garage, a conference room and a penthouse party room fully-equipped with a home theatre system, a bar and a fireplace.
There are 2 towers, connected together in a U-shaped design, that house 501 suites. The units range from studios to 2 bedrooms plus a den. All of the suites have spectacular views of the city from a balcony, patio or terrace.
A couple of blocks south of Moss Park, The Richmond is a great location in Toronto’s east end. It’s walking distance to the TTC, St. Lawrence Market and the city’s Entertainment and Financial Districts. For commuters, the Don Valley Parkway, Gardiner Expressway and Lakeshore Boulevard are only a few minutes away making drives to other parts of Toronto or the GTA relatively hassle-free.
