The original structure of the Massey Harris Lofts dates back to 1883. At that time, this stately red brick building, located at the corner of King Street West and Massey Street, served as the headquarters for a farm equipment factory. In later years, it re-designed as an office building by Edward James Lennox, one of the Toronto’s top architects.

Officially deemed a Heritage Property, the Massey Harris Lofts were converted into residences by Canderel Stoneridge in 2003. They built a 2-storey extension on top of the historic structure to make room for multi-level penthouses with large rooftop terraces. In total, there are 46 units at this address (915 King Street West).

The lofts in Massey Harris Lofts feature exposed brick walls, wood posts and beams, 11” ceilings and radiant floor heating. Some of the bathrooms were converted from old payroll vaults and they have unique vaulted metal ceilings. Additionally, the kitchens and bathrooms were designed by the legendary Cecconi Simone. This award-winning interior design firm is also responsible for 550 Wellington West, Camden Lofts and Vu Living.

Right outside Massey Harris Lofts, you will find a city park with the same namesake. Massey Harris Park is a precious piece of green space in this urban downtown location. Stanley Park is also just east on King Street.

Known for its trendy restaurants, lounges and boutiques, Toronto’s King Street West is a well-established neighbourhood with plenty to explore. Nearby, there are banks, dry cleaners, pharmacies and markets. If you need to commute to other areas of the city, simply hop on the King streetcar that runs 24 hours a day.
