Electra Lofts is an 8-storey building that houses 105 soft lofts. These newly constructed spaces are particularly bright and open because they were inspired by authentic factory/warehouse conversions. The floorplans, with a mezzanine above the living room, illuminate high ceilings. Some of the other features include exposed concrete, hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies.
Built by Urban Corp in 2000, Electra Lofts is part of the original plan to develop King Street West into a trendy downtown district. I’ve chosen many other developments by Urban Corp because they create innovative yet highly functional residents. Some of those other developments include Tannery Lofts, Westside Lofts and 5 Rosehill.
Electra Lofts can be found at 954 King Street West, west of Bathurst Street. The area is known for its trendy restaurants, cafes, boutiques and lounges. In the immediate area, there’s everything from pharmacies and banks to sushi and pet specialty stores. Nearby parks such as Stanley Park and Trinity Bellwoods are great green spaces in this busy urban environment.
The streetcar on King Street runs 24 hours day which is really convenient for residents at Electra Lofts who are on the go. From 954 King Street West, you are close to the Entertainment District, the Fashion District and Liberty Village. King Street Village is a safe, secure and well-established neighbourhood that promises to continue developing in the future.
